Youngstown Ursuline needed 22 first half plays to gain 37 yards. In the second half they turned to big plays to win the state championship, 21-0, at Massillon's Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.

Division V Ohio high school state football final previewNov 28, midnight
Ursuline lost year’s state title game to Marion Local. The Irish won the Div. IV state title in 2000. This is Liberty Benton’s first state-title game appearance. Ironically, L-B beat Marion Local last week to get here.

Marion Local has won four state championships and is set on defending its title this year despite graduating an outstanding senior class. Ursuline’s only title came in 2000 in Division IV, when a loaded Irish squad (much like this one) topped Marion Local’s MAC rival, Coldwater, in the title game.
